Vermont Weapons Law

Today I did a little research on what the law is in regards to buying and selling knives and what I found has little to do with what I wanted to know but I found it a bit disturbing just the same so I feel I must make a post about it. Here is what the Vermont Law Books have to say about carrying weapons in or around schools.

Vermont State Law [Title 13 V.S.A. §4004 and Title 16 V.S.A. §1166] prohibits carrying these or other dangerous or deadly weapons in school or on school grounds. Any student found violating this law shall be referred to the appropriate police authorities. After a due process hearing, a student may also face suspension or expulsion from the CDC. A weapon as defined in Vermont law is any firearm, device, instrument, material, or substance, whether animate or inanimate, which in the manner it is used or is intended to be used is known to be capable of producing death or serious bodily injury.

    I would like comments from anyone on this post. I do not know what exactly the law really states here. That is just something I read and bits of things that I have seen so if anyone has thoughts, opinions or even pure fact that would be highly appreciated in form of comment to this post. I also do want to make it very clear that my standing on weapons in school is that there are absolutly no weapons in schools regardless of who you are or what level of anything. Unless the school is under some form of incident as those we have seen :`{
    For even a police officer to have a weapon on school grounds is scary for me what the ramifications of this could be. Ever heard the song mad world?
