The Saddam Hussein execution

Saturday, December 30th, 2006 by RevBShaw

Well this is only one opinion of many but I have to comment on this. Saddam Hussein, a man of great disgust to me and to many others I am more than sure. He was hanged to death tonight. Are we out of our damn minds? With this gesture that was made in his hanging we have made it very clear. Not only are we just as bad as Saddam Hussein but we are worse as a people. This disgusts me to no end. How are we any better than he? We publicly murdered this man, a real human being. Despite what he has done he was still a human. He had a name, a family, and even if I do not like to admit it I am sure he had friends. He was born of 2 parents. Not only did we publicly murder him but also people rejoiced at his death.

Let me ask a few questions here.
Would we hang a prisoner or would we use a more humane method such as lethal injection?
I am lead to believe that we would use the needle.
How long has Saddam Hussein been in custody and was he still a threat to anyone after his capture?
I think not. Not unless our prison system is lacking which in the case of such a fowl person as Saddam Hussein I think that we would have made absolute sure he would never get out.
Do you feel better to know that now that Saddam Hussein is dead others will follow?
Do we not realize that an eye for an eye only results in everyone becoming blind?

I don’t know. All I can say is I hope that the world learns a great lesson from this. The first one all of your parents should have taught you long ago. Two wrongs do not make a right. The other lesson I hope we all learn is that in order for the violence and hate to end the bigger man has to be just that. You may think I am out of line or hate me for this post but I really do not care. I speak from experience here. I once had a beautiful wife and someone that I once called a friend killed her. I hated him for this for the longest time and I even had the greatest of opportunity to kill him and many would say it was within my right. Well I gave him one look. This worthless used up excuse for a human and I then raised my eyes up and what did I see. His children. What kind of man would I be if I took their fathers life away to satisfy my feelings of hatred and need for closure? The fact that life was lost is enough for me to say that no more shall be. There is only one being that has the right to give and take life. That is God! The one we as a great nation live under. So please think on that a bit. We are not here to have war or to kill. We are here to live, love and die naturally and that is all. Remember the one guarantee you have in life is that it will come to it’s own end without help and when that time comes you will have to answer for your every decision you made in life.

From all of us at a-et. Good cheer to all, bless those who brought us near but are no longer here. Pray for those who live in fear. Make amends to those we’ve harmed this year. Give thanks to know that we are all still here. Embrace your race. You know the one of the human kind.

In the news

This week there was a large crack down on drug distribution in Barre, VT. They flew a helicopter to show the dealers that they were serious. They made many busts. The newspaper proclaims that this is similar to what went down in Rutland, VT when the lost tostitos came to town. Well the Sleeper called it the most significant single drug operation in his nearly 30-year association with state law enforcement. I don’t know who the sleeper is but that sounds all covert and shit so whatever, moving on.. So what happened here? How many busts were made? What charges came about? How much did it cost to fuel up that helicopter? What message did that really show? Well I have a few opinions.

This is a link to an article on the costs involved with using a helicopter http://www.helis.com/using/cost.php

I can tell you cost per hour figures out to somewhere around $2000+ all I can say is Ouch!

The message is none other than it would have been without the helicopter in my opinion. Two things happened here though. First we did send them a message. Not one to our liking. What we told the dealers is that they need to crack down as well. What are we nuts? In Rutland city with it’s gang activity. The whole thing was something else. I remember the headlines and all. I saved clippings of them all. What else I remember is what actually went down. I see it all unravel before my very own eyes. The papers make mention of the police involvement and how they ran them out of town. Well they definitely were run out of town. The police involvement was great. They came in after a riot broke out were there were local city folk cocktailing a house that harbored this gang and literally running in and physically tearing through the house dragging them out and beating them down. The law enforcement brought peace to the situation with no use of helicopters or much of anything other than a few smart cops with cool tempers. Were there weapons involved? Yes. Many. Now things are different here. The gang is not here. There are people here. Some are in groups. Everyone is suspect. Things are changing folks. I am going to tell you more about it as we go on.

Once upon a time when I was a little boy I had dreams and visions of life being something in which one would cherish every waking moment of. Mom and Dad, they were my world. Everything they did and said molded me into who I was to become. Christmas was a time when we gathered our whole family together to bask in the glow of the love that surrounded us. We would sit around and hear tales of how times once were. How things are different now than they were when my parents and grandparents were young but one thing remained the same. Grandma and Grandpa were in love; Mom and Dad were in love, although the price of eggs went up my picture perfect world seemed unscathed.

My parents got divorced that following year. My world as I knew it crashed and turned to ash. I was 8 years old then. Now I am almost 30 years old. I have had children, been married to a wonderful woman, climbed the latter of success and managed to sustain Asylum Entertainment pulling in an average of $1000.00 a week. You might say I had it all. Well so maybe I did. Now I am widowed, I am a single father, Asylum ET is harder and harder to sustain by the day and I am realizing things that I guess only come with age. I have noticed over the short span of my life that we not my family and I but we as the human race are losing something great. We as a society accept things that are the furthest from holy. We live in a country that heralds sayings like In God we trust and One Nation Under God but not a single one of us lives by what we say.

Think about this one thing that stands prominent in my mind, Love and marriage. At one time the definition of marriage was this “the state of being a married couple voluntarily joined for life” now you will notice that there has been an addition to that (or until divorce). Sorry, No. This is not correct. Marriage is only the first part of the definition despite what society accepts today. Society is perverse. I see on television today a role model for our youth. Heh so you thought. Britney Spears divorced again. This woman is supposed to be a role model as with anyone else in her shoes they have a great responsibility to the public eye. She states in a song why don’t they just let me live. Who the public? Well they would have had she not tramped around like a harlot after luring the youth in to thinking she was someone to follow. Ever heard the story of the pied piper? So she now makes comments like what’s with this marriage thing anyway in her ditsy blond way as if marriage is to be taken lightly.

Well what is with it is first off you do not get married unless you intend to do it for life. It is not intended to be a game or a publicity stunt nor should it be treated as such. This is more serious than you may think. You remember your parents and the love they had. Well forget it. Your kids won’t ever experience such a great thing because of things like this. It is all about selling more records or getting your face in the media now. No one could care whether or not it is harming us. Stop promoting this rubbish. If you had any mind at all you would not support it by not buying the albums, turning off the TV when this crap comes on, calling your local cable provider and demanding to stop showing these things. You have the power to make changes. Why do you not use it? To be passive is no different than saying I don’t care what happens to my child, they can fend for themselves. Heck why don’t you just go leave them in the woods by themselves? They would surely be better off out there than to grow up in a society that allows for such ridiculous behavior.

See I have raised my child by showing her the way and teaching her love and respect for herself. Do you think that will make a difference? Not likely! Why? Well because when she is old enough to have her wedding day and she is married how likely is it that the parents of her suitor will have raised there child with the same moral respect that I have mine. For my child’s sake I surely hope they have. My only point here is take caution in what you see and hear because it makes an everlasting impression on you. My message to public icons, respect your audience and be responsible with the message you bring. This extends to what you do every moment of your life. If you do not like it do not make yourself such a public spectacle and Britney, Put some damn clothes on.

I do wish her the best and I feel so bad for her children. They are such poor, poor children to have such a terrible mother. Just think Britney and I hope you read this. One day when your children are in school they will be picked on because the other children have downloaded a video of you disrespecting yourself and then they decided to broadcast it on the television at the assembly just before school begins for the day. For their sake I hope that this never happens but chances are pretty slim that it or something like it wont. Who knows maybe with your 30 million you can buy back every video and bad thing that has escaped about you on the net. Not!

Microsoft vs. Mac vs. Linux

Sunday, December 17th, 2006 by admin

Well I must make a post about this. I am so sick of hearing how horrible Microsoft is for copying Mac and all this crap that surrounds this topic. We are computer consumers this day in age. Both MS and Mac treat us as though we are ignorant. I see Mac knock MS in their I am PC I am Mac commercials. I am Mac I am so great cause I can do this, this and this. Yea OMG unbelievable a Mac can do the same thing as a pc. Well I hope the fuck so it is a computer still right? Yea thought so. It takes what a CPU, MB, HD and memory huh sounds like a fucking PC to me so what gives. Ok so they say that PC freezes all the time. OK sure if you are an illiterate user but guess what. I froze a Mac (Intentionally) to prove a point.

Mac says they are not vulnerable to all the viruses and such. Well ok for a moment in time. So was PC until it became mainstream. Now that Mac is going mainstream is it not logical to think that the writers of viruses won’t be now attacking Mac systems? I am sure that will be next on the plate. Mac is begging to be crippled by viruses. Mark my words they will be just as vulnerable if they are not already which I doubt they are immune to anything. Ok so now for a bit of marketing 101. Does Mac seriously think that by knocking a competitor that they will generate business for themselves? Well not if the consumer is smart enough it wont. It is more likely to make a buyer leery of paying an extra 2000 bucks for a machine that the company who manufactures is so insecure about that they have to run down the competition.

I have been in the entertainment business for 14 years now and I can say I am not where I am now from running my competition into the ground. Talk yourself up all you want but never and I mean never talk a competitor down. This shows insecurity and shows that you are willing to stoop to any level to make a sale. Ok one more thing. Mac now uses Intel parts. Uhm Ok so now you mean to say that I can use PC parts in a Mac. Well shit doesn’t that defeat any idea that said Mac was better than PC. I mean come on you are so good that you must use PC parts. I think not. I get such a kick out of all of these. I have run Windows XP Pro as a server exposed fully to the net for 2 years. To date virus, spy ware and so on is at a max count of 0, zilch, nadda. Freezes. Never. SO what gives? Why is it that I have such great luck and no one else does.

It is all lies. A computer is a piece of hardware that is only as good as it’s user. So now the latest I just saw a video on a blog for the Zune vs. IPod Well here we go again, shoe is on the other foot though. MS brought this about as a parody to the Mac vs. PC videos. Still I have no respect for a company dissing another to gain a sale but well they didn’t do that in this video at least not close to what Mac has said about PC. MS only makes it known that by using an IPod you have many limits and the main one is functionality and ease of use. I have used many mp3 players. IPod, being one of them. I am a professional entertainer in the music industry and I settle for only the best. Tried IPod. Would I buy one? Is there ice cream in hell? The IPod sux horribly. Starting with its faceplate navigation that just does whatever the fuck it wants to do.

The Zune, well I am sure it is pretty much the same as any other but ease of use well it seems they have that covered so until I try one myself I wont say run out and buy one but I will give you this one warning. Buy what you are comfortable with. If it works for you, great. While you are in the store ask to have a demonstration of every product you are looking into. I mean listen to it, touch it, play with it and make sure it is right for you. If the store/salesmen won’t let you kindly tell them thank you anyway but I think I will just go across the street and leave. This is your hard earned money you will spend, don’t you have the right to look into what you buy before you are stuck with it. Also remember the return policy and hold the company to it. If you try it for a few days and you decide it sux go back and get your refund. So good luck to you all and heed my warnings.
